Brew and Grind is an independent coffee shop located upstairs at the Maltings Taphouse in the historic Tuckers Maltings building, Newton Abbot.

I'd always felt Newton Abbot would benefit from an independent coffee shop where you could explore an exciting combination of coffees and brew methods, whilst supporting local producers at the same time.

When the opportunity came up at the Maltings Taphouse, it was the perfect space! Not only a great location with so much character, but the craft beer bar and rotation through different breweries matched the way I planned to offer variety through different coffee roasters in the shop. Not to mention I'd been a customer there for several years as well...!

With Brew and Grind I hope to create an environment that is comfortable, welcoming and not pretentious - a term that is often associated with speciality coffee and craft beer. So...drink great coffee (and other great hot drinks!) upstairs, then go and drink great beer downstairs, all in a relaxed, friendly and community oriented environment.
